Summer Funding

We are ready to help you find and fund summer opportunities that take your learning to the next level—research, internships, conferences, and creative projects.

Funding Opportunities through Beloit College

Students may apply for funding for summer opportunities through the Common Grant, which brings together a variety of Beloit-only resources.

Get ready!

Step One: Find an opportunity. The Career Works staff can help you find opportunities and prepare your application materials. You may apply to the Common Grant once you have identified an opportunity; you do not need to wait until it has been secured.

Step Two: Prepare your application and have it reviewed because summer funding opportunities are competitively awarded.

The best way to prepare is to attend one of the Common Grant workshops (see the Events on Handshake) or fill out the Common Grant Worksheet and make an appointment with Emily Sager.

Submit your final Common Grant application through the Common Grant Google Form, not the rough draft worksheet.

Application and Deadline

All application materials must be submitted on time. Applications will close at 4:00pm on the deadline. The deadline is the Monday after Spring Break. For 2024, the deadline is Monday, March 18th, 2024 by 4:00pm.

*It is highly recommended that you have your application materials reviewed by Career Development Advisor, Emily Sager, who runs the summer funding program. You can book an appointment with Emily Sager via Handshake and use the appointment category “Common Grant Funding”*
