  • Shelbi Wilkin

Finishing up her second year at Beloit College, Shelbi Wilkin has worked as a costume and wig designer, costume technician, costume crafts artisan, and makeup artist. Her design credits include the premier productions of Invisible, Left Hand of Darkness, and Successful Strategies. Costume and makeup designs include In the Next Room, The Moors, Scorched, and The Marriage of Figaro.

Shelbi’s area of research focuses on culturally respective design and research practices. She enjoys teaching students anything from research techniques and the elements of design to silk painting and millinery.

Shelbi likes slightly embellishing stories about her cats to make them sound smarter than Alicia and Marina’s cats. A Montana native, she enjoys any opportunity to spend time outdoors. Shelbi especially enjoyed her time in Oregon backpacking the Cascades and exploring local wineries.
