  • Amber Dolphin

Amber is an accomplished musician and experienced instructor who, in addition to teaching at Beloit College, teaches privately in Madison, leads music workshops locally and performs with various groups. She currently performs with the Pecatonica String Quartet as well as Charanga Agozá (Cuban dance music). Before taking on a heavier teaching load Amber used to perform with the Madison Symphony, Green Bay, Dubuque and LaCrosse Symphonies, two Argentine tango groups (Quinteto Yzafa and Istmo Tango Trio) and a gypsy swing quintet. In 2011 she co-founded Music con Brio an after school program for grade school students and now serves on the Board of Directors. She has also taught as adjunct faculty at University of Wisconsin – Platteville and Viterbo University. Amber earned degrees in violin performance from Luther College (BA), UW-Madison (MM), and Northern Illinois University-DeKalb (Performance Certificate).
